Our work is in the public rental neighbourhood of AMK Blocks 101, 102, & 103 We increased our work in 6 blocks from 5 in 2017. Within these rental blocks there are a total of 750 units. Our primary work is with families with children aged 6 to 14.

Youth Volunteerism

71% of the children and youth in the neighbourhoods we directly work in were actively engaged through educational, social and other developmental programmes. Many were linked to volunteers who provided friendship and guidance.

Meet Hassan Bin Omar

A driving force I the community football program. “Community has changed my lifestyle,” Hasan reflected after a pizza party to mark the 1^stanniversary of his neighbourhood’s football programme for children. Hasan describes himself as a parent volunteer and facilitator. “I help the children understand coach’s instructions and make sure they obey them,” he elaborated.  Hasan has 2 sons in primary school and to stop them from kicking a ball along the corridor and disturbing the neighbours, he took them to the field on his off days. Soon another father brought his sons to join him and after a few weeks, children from both families joined the neighbourhood football programme and both fathers became volunteers.
